Lambretta club of the month

 

A new feature this, where I highlight a Lambretta owners club from around the world. To kick us off, I go to the spiritual home of the Lambretta, Italy. Liguria in fact, the coastal region of north west Italy famous for it’s beautiful beaches, and picturesque little towns, and (altthough I must say most of Italy is famous for this) it’s great food.

   The Scooterist - Around Vietnam on Vespa 2012 will begin on TET Holiday. What do you thing if we have the Scooter Rally in TET holiday – very special time in Vietnam. We can taste local foods and special TET’s foods, meet Vespa friends around Vietnam, find out about how they live, how is the TET tradition, feel the friendship and first of all we can conquer the Vietnam road. Ngày tiếp theo của chuyến đi Vũng Tàu vào cuối tuần. Được thổ địa dẫn đi nên cũng thăm thú được khá nhiều nơi. Ăn uống cũng rẻ, anh em đỡ mất công tìm kiếm. (vespa rally)

Wet Wet Wet (by ITALIAN MOTOR magazine)

I should have realised that the fact that the local radio station on the small island just off the Spanish coast we were 'holidaying' on kept playing that annoying "I feel it in my fingers" song by drab Scots popsters Wet Wet Wet held some more sinister significance when after two days the sun turned to cloud, and a few days after that, the cloud gave over to torrential rain. So on my return from a frankly mostly miserable and wet 12 days on Menorca to frankly an even more wet and miserable Great Britain, we're feeling all rained out.

Vespa Rally, 24 - 25 September 2011 (SaiGon - VungTau) - Day 1

 Một chuyến đi vào dịp cuối tuần cùng bạn gái. Cứ tưởng là sẽ đi 1 xe như các lần trước chứ, cuối cùng cùng gom được 4 xe đi chung. Chuyến đi ngắn nhưng mà vui, phần nào cũng giúp được 2 chúng tôi giải tỏa stress trong công việc. Cám ơn bạn gái dễ thương Qskulls (http://qskulls.com/) đã chụp toàn bộ số hình này nhé. Restoring a family machine, Allstate Vespa.

In 1963, Erik’s dad bought an Allstate Vespa VNB from the Cushman Motors down on Franklin in Minneapolis. Dad rode the little slate gray scooter everywhere, including back home to Iowa a few times. After years of faithful service, Dad signed up for service of his own: the US Navy. The VNB went into storage while Dad hit the open seas. There it stayed until Erik un-mothballed it in high school. He couldn’t not ride it, and ride it he did until he actually wrecked it. The Vespa went back into storage, and there it stayed until 2006, when Erik undid much of the damage his younger self had done to the scooter. Erik put a new front fork on, a new stator, then cleaned the carb and rode it to the 2006 Scooter Du rally. He rode it again in the 2007 season, but he had to stop riding it when the engine started leaking vital fluids rather badly.

1st Vespa Slow Race in Viet Nam

 Đây là lần đầu tiên một cuộc thi Vespa Slow Race như thế này được tổ chức ở Việt Nam. Quy mô không lớn nhưng cũng thu hút được đông đảo các bạn chạy vespa ở thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Chủ nhật hôm đó do tò mò, mình và bạn gái đi xem người ta thi, bị người ta dụ tham gia nên cũng đăng kí tham gia luôn. Và thật bất ngờ mình đã là người đạt giải nhất cuộc thi Vespa Slow Race với phần thưởng 5.000.000 vnđ.
