It's Saturday morning. And i got an email from Raul (Retroscootergarage.blogspot.com), sharing these cool pictures. In Vietnam, there are a lot of vespas n lambrettas on the street, but not much people can pimp his scooters like this. Because Vespa and Lambretta are not cheap for us, when i get one, i want to keep it as original look (i dont mean the color). I love the original beauty of Vespa n Lambretta.
If i have another scooter, i'll pimp it like this Lambretta.
I think it was paint at the same place with the Lambretta in this post: Baracuta G9 - London to Woolacombe
It is from Singapore television production on the channel "Okto".
A friend from Singapore send me this video, made in Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon). So happy that Vespa can connect people all over the world. Thank you so much Alan!
In video, you will see mr Dzungtran, a famous scooter - car - classic things collector in Vietnam. There are a lot of TV show talking about him. He also have a Vespa APE, view my old post you can watch a video showing this.
Sorry for the bad quality and watermark, i dont like it too. :D
So, welcome to Vietnam, scooterists!
The Dakar rally is probably the most gruelling and dangerous motor race in the world. Motorcycles, cars, quad bikes and trucks compete, not so much with each other, but with the race itself, to survive each year’s course. Competitors slog through each mile in danger of serious injury and death.
In 1980 a French team of 4 riders, put together by Jean-Francois Piot, decided that this all sounded wonderful and that they would enter the race. On their Vespas.
The Scooterist | I dont know what exactly "Northweald Sprint 1965" mean. Is it a scooter rally or racing show? I found three cool pictures from Panoramicpete from Flickr. Let's see it:
In April, there is a big scooter rally in Malaysia but i dont have a change to join. Sad a little bit.

I make this tshirt for this trip:
The One Motorcycle Show is perhaps the only custom show in the world that embraces the imperfect. It's about the essence--motorcycles that are custom but not precious. Stripped down and built back up, but probably not the way the factory intended.
Hosted by See See Motorcycles and sponsored by Bell, the One Show is an annual celebration of utility, culture and creativity held in Portland, Ore.
Third of March 1954, two friends went out for a trip thru Africa on their Lambretta LD 125. They got back fifteen months later and it looks like they visited a lot of cities (judging their topcase). This must have been the real long way down, basic vehicle, no modern roads, no gps, no back up, no phone, no nothing. Ewan and Charley, how about a real long way down? The Scooterist

From 10 to 18 March 2012, the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan hosted a unique exhibition. 13 models that have allowed historians to trace the history of the medium most used nowadays in big cities: the scooter. On display Vespa and Lambretta scooters the two together, and the symbol par excellence of a challenge, that between Piaggio and Innocenti started over half a century ago.
Mark Iezzi, curator of the museum's Department of Transportation, introduces us to the show, ranging from the legendary Lambretta white and red star of one of the most famous songs written by Giorgio Gaber all'Autoped of 1917 - the most ancient piece among those exposed - up to two copies of "futuristic" dated 1951: the Vespa and Lambretta Torpedo.
The Scooterist | Some pictures from the trip by Bắp Nếp, another photographer in trip. It's 2 months from this trip now. We're preparing to make another trip: May Day Ride 2012.
Enjoy the ride, Scooterists!
