Agee's Bicycles - Cary St

Agee's Bicycles on Cary Street is the original home of one of Richmond's longest-running cycling businesses. The family shop traces its roots to 1910 and continues into a fifth generation, with its historic storefront located in a former Western Auto building. The location carries Trek bicycles, including electric models such as the Verve+ Lowstep, within a broad selection for different riders and budgets.

A new bicycle purchase comes with more than a handoff at the register. The team assembles each bike professionally, completes a final inspection, and offers a follow-up check after the first month. Discounted ongoing service helps customers maintain their equipment over time. Staff are known for taking a patient approach to finding a bicycle that fits someone's needs, whether the goal is commuting, neighborhood riding, or something more ambitious.

The Cary Street shop's identity is tied to generations of Richmond cyclists and employees. Its electric-bike selection adds a modern dimension to a business built on traditional service and community relationships. For people who value an established local store, Agee's combines bicycle choice, careful setup, and continued support through a workshop with deep neighborhood roots.
