Big Sky Bikes

A Missoula cycling institution, Big Sky Bikes stocks electric mountain bikes alongside conventional models and offers mechanical service. The store handles repairs for all makes and models and keeps a deep stock of parts, gear, and accessories. A kids' bike exchange program and patient, knowledgeable service keep riders coming back.

A race-day brake bleed was squeezed in on short notice, and customers of nearly twenty years report never having a bad experience. Staff advises on trail routes, teaches riders about their gear, and sources hard-to-find parts quickly.

Staff help over the phone and in person, and customer accounts about this shop highlight no-pressure sales: one visitor came in to rent a mountain bike, test-rode several, and bought one without feeling pushed. The business also fields phone questions from riders planning routes and keeps stock of parts that other stores lack. Listed hours run Monday through Friday 10 to 6. Staff also help with route questions and parts sourcing, while a children’s bicycle exchange program supports families as young riders grow into larger bikes.
