Blimp City Bike & Hike

Blimp City Bike & Hike is a cycle shop at 1675 Merriman Road in Akron, positioned conveniently for trips on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. It sells conventional bicycles, trikes, and electric bikes, with Aventon and Magicycle named among its electric lines. The shop also rents bikes, making it relevant to people exploring the trail without transporting their own equipment. Helmets and other riding accessories complement the bicycle selection.

The service counter provides repairs for local riders and visitors passing through. Customer experiences in published information describe a quick chain repair, a derailleur adjustment handled promptly, and practical assistance before a towpath ride. Rental feedback includes a family group equipped with bicycles, helmets, and trailers for an outing. These examples speak to general bicycle and e-bike support, not necessarily repairs on every stand-up electric scooter brand. Owners should verify specialty equipment acceptance beforehand.

The shop's published hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, with Monday closed. Its Akron location can be contacted at (330) 836-6600 or through blimpcitybikeandhike.com. For rentals, confirm current bike sizes, availability, and any required reservations.
