Buchanan Bicycles

Buchanan Bicycles is woven into Norman's Campus Corner history. Operating on Buchanan Avenue since 1973, this independent shop serves students, longtime locals, and serious cyclists from a location close to the university. Its personality is unmistakably neighborhood-oriented, even as it carries Specialized bicycles and offers services that go well beyond basic adjustments.

The workshop tackles repairs and maintenance, while a dedicated fitting studio helps riders dial in a comfortable, efficient position on the bike. Ryan Lenhart, a Masters Certified BG Fit technician, is associated with the fitting program. Customers have described quick help with complicated repairs, including one same-day turnaround that put a rider back on the road by evening. Electric-bike-related accessories, including pedal-assist chargers, also appear in the shop's selection.

Buchanan's decades on Campus Corner give it a strong connection to Norman's cycling community. People come for a new bicycle or a fit session, but many return because they already know the mechanics and trust the service. The store combines that familiarity with technical knowledge and a distinct sense of place in the university neighborhood.
