Charlotte Cycles

Charlotte Cycles is a destination for electric-bike shoppers who want to compare several leading brands in one showroom. Located on South Kings Drive in Charlotte's Elizabeth area, the store describes itself as the city's oldest electric bicycle shop and maintains a particularly broad selection of pedal-assist options.

Its lineup includes electric bicycles from Giant, Gazelle, Tern, Yamaha, Magnum, Rocky Mountain, Brompton, and Velotric. Standard bicycles share the space with more specialized designs, including trikes and recumbent-style cycles such as Catrike models. That variety is useful for riders with different comfort, cargo, or transportation needs.

The shop also offers professional bike fitting and a full-service operation for maintenance and repairs. Buyers can discuss how an electric model feels and fits, then return for mechanical help as they put miles on it. Rentals are associated with the business as another way to experience cycling locally.

Serving Charlotte's central neighborhoods, Charlotte Cycles combines the choices of a large electric-bike showroom with technical support after the sale. Its mix of major brands and less conventional cycle designs distinguishes it from shops focused on one manufacturer or one riding style.
