Cycle Gear - Sharpstown

Cycle Gear's Sharpstown store on Houston's Southwest Freeway focuses on helmets, protective clothing, riding gear, and related accessories for motorcycle and scooter riders. It is an equipment retailer rather than a dealership selling scooters or a workshop providing scooter repairs.

The store's selection includes apparel and parts-related accessories, allowing riders to compare protective equipment in person. Helmet sizing is a particular theme in customer accounts, with employees DJ, Jeremy, Mitch, and Chloe mentioned for taking time to discuss fit and equipment choices.

Online ordering and in-store collection give customers another way to purchase riding gear. As part of the wider Cycle Gear chain, the Sharpstown branch shares a focus on outfitting riders rather than servicing their vehicles. Customers have described both helpful staff interactions and occasional questions about shelf or register pricing.

An online temporary-closure notice has appeared for the Sharpstown store, making its current retail availability uncertain. Its documented specialty remains riding apparel, helmets, and scooter-compatible gear for customers in southwest Houston.
