Geoff's Bike & Ski

Geoff's Bike & Ski operates from South Gilbert Street in Iowa City, with a bicycle selection built around Specialized. Its range includes mountain, gravel, cyclocross, fat-tire and youth bikes, plus electric-assist models such as the lightweight Turbo Vado SL. Shoppers can compare frame sizes, riding positions and accessories before having a new bicycle prepared for use.

The repair shop handles tune-ups and service on supported e-bikes, and a mobile bicycle repair option can bring certain maintenance work to a customer's home. Staff have installed accessories such as racks during purchases and helped riders deal with breakdowns during RAGBRAI, sometimes coordinating assistance along the route. Customers coming from outside Iowa City also use the store for its fitting and model knowledge.

Winter sports are another part of the operation, with ski and snowboard maintenance offered seasonally. Hours vary considerably across the week, so checking before a visit is helpful. Electric-bike riders should confirm compatibility of their motor system, while regular cyclists can arrange mechanical service or explore the Specialized range in store.
