IndependenceFirst Mobility Store

IndependenceFirst Mobility Store takes a nonprofit approach to providing durable medical equipment in Madison. At 2554 Advance Road, it offers new and refurbished items that can include mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and other home-accessibility products. Published information describes pricing substantially below conventional retail costs, although any current discount depends on the item and stock. This is a resale and equipment-access resource, not a retailer of recreational motor scooters.

Refurbished inventory changes as donated equipment and trade-ins become available. Visitors can examine the current selection and discuss a scooter's fit and basic features with staff before deciding whether it suits their needs. Community equipment donations help replenish the showroom, with suitable pieces refurbished for resale. The store's operation also supports the parent nonprofit's work promoting independent living and access to useful equipment.

The Advance Road premises are on Madison's east side and include parking for visitors. Because stock is variable, prospective buyers should confirm that the type of scooter or wheelchair they need is actually available before making the trip. The published schedule lists Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For availability, donations, or store information, call (608) 243-1785 or check ifmobility.org.
