Matthews Bicycle Mart

Matthews Bicycle Mart has been part of Indianapolis cycling since 1944, serving generations of riders from its East Pendleton Pike location. The family-run store offers a broad bicycle selection, including brands such as Jamis, Cervélo, Specialized, Trek, Marin, Electra, Haro, and Sun. Electric bikes are part of the inventory alongside traditional road, mountain, and recreational models.

The workshop offers full-service repairs, fitting help, and maintenance packages. Customers have described knowledgeable mechanics who can solve issues such as derailleur trouble quickly and explain the work clearly. Pickup and delivery services add convenience for riders who cannot easily transport a bike to the store.

Other features include a trade-in program that considers a bicycle's mechanical condition, rather than simply how it looks, and assistance finding parts or choosing accessories. Folding-bike options have also appeared in the selection, giving customers another practical choice for storage or transportation.

Nearly eight decades of shop history sit alongside today’s e-bikes and folding bicycles at Matthews Bicycle Mart. Its mix of trade-ins, fitting, and repairs keeps that experience relevant to new generations of Indianapolis riders.
