Mike's Bikes of San Rafael

Mike's Bikes of San Rafael serves central Marin with bicycle sales, electric-bike options, accessories, and maintenance services. The Fourth Street store stocks riding gear and apparel as well as bicycles and related parts.

The service department handles tune-ups, accessory installation, and quick repairs like chain work, and the shop offers bike boxing for travelers flying with their machines — a useful specialty in a county full of visiting cyclists.

Shoppers describe knowledgeable help across the inventory, from a child's first bike to a high-end road machine. The 4th Street location serves San Rafael commuters and recreational riders heading for China Camp, Mount Tamalpais, and the surrounding trail networks.

For Marin riders who want one shop for purchase, fitting, maintenance, and travel prep, the San Rafael branch delivers the chain's full-service model with a staff that knows the local riding terrain. Staff can advise on gearing and tire choices for Mount Tamalpais climbs versus flat commute routes, matching the bike to the riding.
