New Ability Inc

New Ability Inc in Melrose Park focuses on automotive mobility adaptations for people who need a vehicle configured around their physical abilities. Its services include hand controls, left-foot accelerator pedals, spinner knobs, transfer seats, and repair work involving wheelchair-accessible vans.

Owner Jerry is the central person in many customer accounts. Clients describe him explaining how installed controls work and making adjustments with particular attention to the driver. Some accounts include home or mobile visits, while others describe bringing an adapted vehicle back for service after an installation.

The work is notably different from ordinary automotive maintenance. A hand-control installation or transfer-seat adjustment can change how someone enters, drives, or exits a vehicle. Customers discuss test drives and demonstrations before accepting completed modifications. That attention to the user's daily routine is an important part of the service described.

This business is documented primarily as a vehicle-adaptation specialist, not a mobility scooter retailer.
