Nielsen Enterprises

Nielsen Enterprises in Lake Villa is a longstanding, multi-line powersports dealership offering motorcycles, Can-Am Spyder three-wheelers, ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, and marine products. Its parts and clothing departments add another dimension, serving people who need equipment, accessories, or continued support after a purchase.

Customers describe both newer and long-term relationships with the dealership. One buyer recalls purchasing there since 1978 and maintaining a friendship with Ted Nielsen. That breadth reflects the different departments involved in the business.

Sales experiences include help comparing machines, arranging paperwork, and walking through a vehicle at pickup. Workshop accounts mention inspections, carburetor-related work, electrical recalibration, and service for bikes that need attention after transportation. One customer describes the shop repairing transit-related damage without charging for the fix.

With several recreational vehicle categories under one roof, Nielsen Enterprises caters to more than one type of rider or outdoor enthusiast. From choosing a new machine to arranging an inspection or locating riding clothing, customers describe moving between departments within the same Lake Villa dealership. The long history of repeat purchasers also gives this operation a local continuity.
