Phil's Bicycle World

Phil's Bicycle World has been part of Florence's cycling scene since 1978. Located on West Palmetto Street, the independent store offers a range that includes road, mountain, comfort and electric bicycles. It also supplies accessories, vehicle-mounted racks and replacement parts for riders who prefer to work on their own bikes.

Mechanical service is central to the business. Customers bring in bicycles from different manufacturers for flat-tire repairs, adjustments and maintenance, including work on e-bikes. People traveling through Florence have also relied on the shop for repairs that get them back on the road promptly. The staff's approach is described as practical and low-pressure, with attention to explaining options instead of pushing unnecessary purchases.

Bike rentals provide another way to use the store without buying a new machine. For electric-bicycle owners, its combination of sales and maintenance is useful, though it is worth confirming support for the specific motor or battery fitted to a bike. Phil's remains a bicycle-focused business; its services should not be confused with gas-moped or stand-up scooter repairs.
