REI

REI’s Jacksonville location combines the outdoor co-op's wider equipment selection with an in-store bicycle shop. At the Big Island Drive store, customers can explore conventional and electric bikes, including REI Co-op Cycles models, while arranging bicycle repairs or adjustments through the same location. Clothing, outdoor gear, and educational activities give the store a broader purpose than bicycle retail alone.

Bike-shop staff members Don, Cami, and Patrick have been associated with patient guidance, careful fitting, and help through technical service situations. Customers have also described informative classes and support with warranty work, including a wheel rebuild. Those experiences point to a department where people can ask questions about equipment and upkeep rather than treating every visit as a purchase.

REI's co-op membership program adds another reason some shoppers choose the store, while its classes provide opportunities to learn skills beyond the sales floor. For Jacksonville cyclists, the appeal is having electric bikes, general bicycle service, and other outdoor interests in one place. The location remains a broad outdoor retailer with a bicycle workshop, not a dedicated scooter sales or repair operation.
