REI Memphis

REI Memphis serves outdoor enthusiasts from its Poplar Avenue store in the Ridgeway Trace area. The co-op carries equipment for hiking, camping, travel, and cycling, while its full-service bike shop gives riders a practical place to arrange assembly or maintenance. Co-op Cycles electric bikes are part of the broader bicycle selection, offering an assisted-riding option within the large outdoor retail floor.

Certified technicians handle bicycle work, including new-bike assembly and safety checks before a machine leaves the store. The service team also performs tune-ups and ongoing maintenance, helping owners care for conventional and electric models. William Hanlon, a mechanic associated with the location, has shared expertise on urban cycling equipment, while customers have highlighted helpful assistance from Owen in the bike department and Shelly in footwear.

The Memphis REI combines mechanical help with the convenience of shopping for outdoor gear during the same visit. Riders can compare accessories, look into electric bikes, or bring a bicycle in for service without limiting the trip to cycling alone. Co-op membership benefits and a broad equipment selection add to the appeal for people whose interests extend beyond the bike path.
