St. Louis Wheelchair / Therapeutic Specialties, Inc.

St. Louis Wheelchair, formally Therapeutic Specialties, Inc., is a mobility equipment business on Oakland Avenue in St. Louis. The storefront supplies wheelchairs, parts, and accessories, with an emphasis on helping customers find and maintain equipment suited to their individual needs.

The original accounts describe relationships that last for years. One wheelchair user has relied on the business for around two decades, while another continued ordering parts after moving away from Missouri. That continuity gives the shop a distinctly personal character despite the technical nature of the products it supplies.

Luke and Susan are mentioned in connection with wheelchair purchases and fittings. Equipment examples include TiLite manual chairs and SmartDrive power-assist setups, where adjustment and detailed knowledge can matter as much as the initial purchase. Customers also discuss mechanical repairs and help sourcing wheelchair components.

The business serves people who depend on reliable mobility equipment and need someone familiar with the specifications of their chairs. A rehabilitation professional who uses a wheelchair is among those describing the shop's technical guidance. Its documented work emphasizes wheelchair fitting, parts, accessories, and repair, with particular knowledge of individual chair configurations.
