Sypherd Cycle & Rental Center

Sypherd Cycle & Rental Center has served the Lakeside-Marblehead community from 182 Sycamore Avenue since 1977, operating seasonally from May through Labor Day. The shop rents bicycles, golf carts, and recreational equipment to visitors and residents of the Lake Erie resort area, and its service department performs full bicycle repairs with 24-hour turnaround on most bikes.

As an authorized dealer for Pedego electric bikes, the store also sells and services e-bikes for riders exploring the Marblehead Peninsula. The seasonal rental fleet includes single and multi-person bikes, child carriers, and accessories suited to the lakeside setting. Walk-in repairs cover flats, tune-ups, and safety checks for vacationers and locals alike. The Sycamore Avenue storefront sits in the heart of Lakeside, within easy reach of the lakefront and the community's bike paths, making it a long-running resource for cycling in the resort town.

The shop's printed brochure also lists household and medical rentals, from cots and fans to child wheelchairs and strollers, plus sporting goods such as tennis and pickleball rackets - a wide mix aimed at resort visitors spending the season on the Marblehead Peninsula.
