The eBike Store

The eBike Store in Portland's Piedmont neighborhood has been associated with electric cycling since 2008, when it was described as the city's first dedicated electric bicycle shop. Its North Rosa Parks Way location offers a broad choice of assisted bicycles rather than treating e-bikes as a small department within a general sporting-goods store.

Brands in its listings include Specialized, Gazelle, Raleigh, Stromer, Felt, Kalkhoff, Benno, and Tern. That mix gives customers different designs to compare, from daily transportation to leisure riding. Rentals, tours, and guided test rides have also been part of the offering, making hands-on experience central to the business.

Customers describe approachable staff who explain batteries and maintenance without pressuring them to buy immediately. A service department supports the retail operation, although one rider seeking electrical repair on another brand was referred elsewhere, suggesting that specialist work may depend on the bike involved.

The North Portland shop stands out for its electric-only identity, wide manufacturer range, and opportunities to try bikes before buying. It's a place for exploring how assisted cycling fits daily travel, rather than a general motorcycle or gas-scooter dealership.
