The Laurel Cyclery

The Laurel Cyclery is a neighborhood bike shop on MacArthur Boulevard in East Oakland, serving riders in the Laurel district. The shop handles tune-ups, drivetrain and brake upgrades, and the refurbishment of older bikes — bringing neglected machines back to reliable daily service rather than pushing every customer toward something new.

Communication about what work is needed is clear, and advice about whether a repair is worth doing is honest. The MacArthur Boulevard location fills a real gap in East Oakland, giving neighborhood riders a full-service shop close to home.

For Laurel district cyclists who need an affordable repair, a used-bike refresh, or straightforward guidance on keeping a bike running, The Laurel Cyclery operates as a community shop that treats every bike — and every budget — with respect.

The shop's focus on refurbishment keeps usable bikes out of the waste stream, giving older frames a second life as dependable transportation.
