Vertical Earth

Vertical Earth serves several kinds of cyclists from its Sherman Avenue shop in Coeur d'Alene. The selection ranges from mountain and gravel bikes to road, triathlon, fat-tire and electric models, with brands such as Scott, Pivot, Giant and Kona. Customers can also find bike-packing equipment and rent cruisers for a ride near the lake.

Mike and the mechanic team handle wheel building, routine tune-ups and more involved repairs. The shop has assisted competitors during the Ironman Coeur d'Alene 70.3 event, including urgent race-day mechanical needs. Riders seeking a local route can also ask staff for suggestions, reflecting the shop's involvement with area cycling clubs and activities.

When winter arrives, the business shifts part of its workshop attention to ski and snowboard waxing and edge service. The central location has free street parking and accommodates people riding into town as well as those driving for an appointment. E-bike owners should confirm compatibility with their particular drive system, but the store's mix of repairs, rentals and community cycling makes it a versatile local bicycle specialist.
