Mike's Bikes of Berkeley

Mike's Bikes of Berkeley is the University Avenue branch of a Bay Area bicycle retailer offering bikes, accessories, and workshop support.

The store stocks road, mountain, kids', and electric bikes alongside gear and accessories, with staff known for knowledgeable help in matching riders to the right size and model. The service department handles tune-ups and repairs with generally quick turnaround, keeping commuters and recreational riders on schedule.

One detailed account describes the shop reimbursing a customer after a rim-tape issue caused repeated flats — an example of the store standing behind its work when something goes wrong. The University Avenue location serves Berkeley students, commuters, and East Bay trail riders alike.

For shoppers who want the selection of a large retailer with the service accountability of a local shop, the Berkeley branch delivers the chain's combination of inventory depth, fitting expertise, and a repair bench that answers for its work.
